David Ingles Goldburg is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Design. Following college, he was employed at the Chicago architectural firms of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and C.F. Murphy Associates.
Barbara (Bobbye) Levy Goldburg, a Michigan native, is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Design. Upon completing her degree, she moved to Chicago to pursue a design career at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
The dream of Ingles & Associates emerged when David and Bobbye met while both were employed at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. They subsequently married, moved to Michigan, and opened their own design firm. The husband and wife team have been the principal designers of Ingles & Associates for over 35 years.
